Sitra's projects

Sitra’s programmes consist of a number of different projects and measures supporting the goals of the programme. Many of the projects will be implemented in collaboration with other parties; the co-operation partners include both Finnish and foreign parties from both public and private sectors.

The project aims at developing concepts for a renovation service for housing construction. The basic principle of the service is to achieve substantial improvements in the usability and energy efficiency of apartments through technical changes carried out to the building, and making this financially viable by increasing the permitted building volume.

Sitra - Health Fund »
The purpose of the Health fund is to support the Health Care Programme by accelerating the structural change under way in the health-care system, which is spawning new businesses offering health services.

Sitra - Internationalisation projects »
The international projects seek to identify business opportunities for Finnish health care know-how in Japan and the USA. International contacts also provide access to best practices and their import to and application in Finnish health care.

Sitra - Multi-centre health-care projects »
In specialised health care, the objective of the programme is to initiate pilots based on best practices. It also aims to link specialised health-care services to a seamless care chain.

Sitra - Paperless health-care projects »
The Health Care Programme is involved in the co-ordination and preparation of the health-care transition process, the purpose of which is to implement a national electronic patient record database. The system will include an electronic prescription service. The new system will promote the monitoring of health-care results and continuous improvement in quality.

Sitra - Peloton - Energy citizen »
The project aims at recognising so-called energy gatekeeper groups who have a great influence on energy choices, and to create new kind of communities. Through these measures, new forms of working will be created, and people will gain a better understanding of the impact that their decisions as consumers have on energy efficiency.

Sitra - Seamless health-care service projects »
The Health Care Programme is preparing projects, which will form seamless and optimised care chains from local services on the basis of best-care practices. The services of outpatient care, social nursing services and basic specialised health-care services will be combined to make an efficient and effective whole.
