Johanna Kirkinen

Leading Specialist, Ecological sustainability

Johanna Kirkinen, D.Sc. (Tech.), is Energy and Climate Change Lead at Sitra. She has been working with energy-efficient built environment and energy-wise citizens in Energy Programme during 2009-2012. Currently she is working in the theme area related to sustainable lifestyles and wise use of natural resources. Prior to Sitra, Johanna Kirkinen, was working for four years as a Research Scientist at VTT, Technical Research Centre of Finland. Her research related to energy systems and climate change mitigation. She has graduated as a Doctor of Science in Technology in 2010. Her doctoral thesis concerned greenhouse impact assessment of different biofuels.
