Tim Forslund

Specialist, Nature and the economy

Who?

Tim Forslund is working on furthering the circular economy on a global level, seeking further uptake of the concept in more countries and by more players – an effort made possible by digital solutions and the many circular economy enthusiasts out there.

What?

Having studied environmental management and policy and languages in five different countries, Tim began exploring the circular economy framework towards the end of his studies in Lund.

Upon graduating he started working in the UK for the Ellen MacArthur Foundation, where he researched the landscape of the circular economy, in which Finland stood out as a clear frontrunner. The foundation’s China Programme also took Tim back to Beijing, where he stayed to work on environmental affairs at the Embassy of Sweden.

What else?

Tim loves going to new places, experiencing different cultures, enjoying the local food and learning the language – be it Japanese or Amharic. Other hobbies include hiking, historical strategy games, plant lore and film.
