Who?

Mikko Dufva is Sitra’s leading foresight specialist. In his work, he examines future trends, the tensions between these trends and mental images connected with the future. In addition, he seeks to identify signals that may be weak now but are nevertheless significant from the point of view of the future.

Mikko wants to make future-oriented thinking easy to understand and help everyone to better understand on-going changes, challenge assumptions about the future and imagine better futures.

Mikko is worth seeking out for a discussion on megatrends, weak signals, the power to define futures or ways in which you can approach futures in general. He is a docent of future studies at Aalto University, where he teaches scenario thinking and foresight methods, among other topics.
