Your local lake is the best water park

Lazing around in the sun, swimming, water and beach games, eating together, sauna – there’s so much to do at a lake! Going to a lake instead of a swimming pool or water park feels like a mini holiday and helps you forget about worries and concerns.

Savings: Unlike a swimming pool or water park, it costs nothing to swim in a lake.

Remember this: The lake swimming season is short in Finland and lakes are not always accessible. Algae can also be a problem.

Reducing your carbon footprint: Your carbon footprint decreases a little when you spend the summer – from May to August – swimming in a lake instead of a pool or water park. Emissions are lower because there is less need to build and heat indoor swimming pools.
