Work comfortably at home

A telecommuting day means you can work at home or even in a café. You can use the time you normally spend travelling to work on other things, and it may be more efficient to do some jobs at home.

Savings: Telecommuting saves money because you don’t have to drive or take public transport to work.

Remember this: If telecommuting is not normal practice at your workplace, your co-workers may be unfamiliar with the whole concept. You can perhaps find a way to encourage a positive attitude towards telecommuting among your colleagues.

Reducing your carbon footprint: One telecommuting day per week reduces your carbon footprint by 1%. If a million Finns did this, it would save the equivalent of 11,000 carbon footprints per year.
