I am a sustainability and public affairs professional with more than 15 years of experience in advancing sustainability transitions and cross-sector collaboration.
At Sitra, the Finnish Innovation Fund, I have worked in a variety of roles focused on advancing ecological sustainability and accelerating the transition towards a regenerative and circular economy.
Today, I lead the team responsible for the World Circular Economy Forum (WCEF), the world’s leading international forum on the circular economy. Organised by Sitra together with global partners, WCEF brings together leaders from business, government, academia and civil society to accelerate the transition towards a carbon neutral circular economy.
I hold a Master’s degree in Social Sciences and remain endlessly curious about how societies can thrive within planetary boundaries. Outside work, you’ll most likely find me dancing swing dances or learning how to renovate an old wooden house in the Finnish countryside.
As a novice renovator, I spend a lot of time figuring things out as I go, from traditional building methods to sustainable repair practices. The project is my personal master class in circularity: appreciating the value of existing materials, extending the life of what is already there, and caring for something so that it can be passed on to future generations.
