CLC awarded 3 Finnish companies for innovations that help reduce black carbon

The world needs scalable solutions to cut down the amount of black carbon. The Arctic is warming at twice the global average rate, and 20-25% of this is caused by black carbon. Climate Leadership Coalition (CLC), the Bioenergy Association of Finland, Sitra, the Finnish Environment Institute (SYKE) and the Finnish Central Association of Chimney Sweeps launched a campaign and innovation competition to find scalable black carbon reduction solutions during Finlands Arctic Council presidency. The winners Nunnauuni Ltd, Neste Ltd and Wärtsilä Ltd were awarded at the 11th Arctic Council Ministerial Meeting in Rovaniemi on 6 May 2019.
