No one needs to drive

The eternal question when taking a trip is deciding who’s going to drive. Who really wants to drive for hours at a time? Why not take the train? The train provides a smooth journey with changing scenery, and the best thing is that everyone gets to rest or play in the children’s carriage!

Savings: The current saver tickets can make travelling together on the train even less expensive than a car.

Remember this: A train rarely takes you right to your destination, so you have to walk the last kilometres or take another method of transport. Transport chains may not cover the entire country either. Especially on busy days, a large family may pay a lot more to travel by train than by car.

Reducing your carbon footprint: Using the train for two trips per year – from Helsinki to Joensuu, for example – reduces your carbon footprint by 1.5% per year.
