The circular economy – the jobs and growth potential

  • April 15, 2016 at 3:00 pm

The new Circular Economy Package that was published by the European Commission at the end of 2015 aims at stimulating the transition to a more sustainable, circular economy that will help to boost global competitiveness, foster sustainable economic growth and generate new jobs. This Policy Dialogue will explore the potential for Europe, including the types of jobs and growth that the transition to a circular economy could create, as well as the role of the EU in stimulating and supporting this transition. Following a keynote speech by Jyrki Katainen European Commission Vice-President, for Jobs, Growth, Investment and Competitiveness, we will hear real-life examples and facts and figures from representatives of different sectors of society.
