Petteri Orpo

Minister of Finance, Finland

Petteri Orpo has been the Minister of Finance of Finland since June 2016. Previously he has served as Minister of the Interior (2015-2016) and as Minister of Agriculture and Forestry (2014-2015). He has been Member of Parliament since 2007. Minister Orpo was elected as the leader of the National Coalition Party (Kokoomus) in 2016. He holds a Master’s Degree from the University of Turku. Minister Orpo has urged finance ministers to step up efforts for climate action.
