EU CERC Business Booster

Business Booster is an EU CERC initiative that helps connect circular economy needs and opportunities emerging from EU CERC activities in EU partner countries with innovative European companies, technology and solutions.

The objective is to help turn promising opportunities into concrete partnerships, projects and collaboration that accelerate the adoption and scaling of circular solutions, creating value for both partner countries and European businesses.

From local needs to concrete collaboration

Business Booster builds on needs and opportunities identified through EU CERC’s work and engagement with partner countries across Africa, Asia and Latin America. Working closely with local stakeholders and EU CERC Labs, these opportunities are further explored and shaped to identify where collaboration with European circular economy companies could create the greatest value.

Based on these opportunities, the Booster identifies relevant European companies and solution providers and facilitates connections with local stakeholders. The aim is not simply to introduce solutions, but to bring complementary capabilities together and build mutually beneficial partnerships that can take circular economy opportunities forward.

How does Business Booster support collaboration?

Business Booster is activated around concrete opportunities identified through EU CERC activities. For each opportunity, the team proactively identifies and approaches relevant European companies and solution providers to explore potential collaboration with local partners.

• Connect local and European partners and facilitate matchmaking

• Support promising partnerships in taking concrete next steps

• Identify relevant pathways for financing, partnerships and market-entry support

Business Booster is implemented by Ethica and DAI, working closely with the EU CERC team at Sitra and Enabel and its partners.
