Sitra aims to achieve societal impact through its work. What kinds of short-term results and longer-term impact does Sitra’s work produce? And how is our work evaluated?
Sitra’s task is to anticipate future development, accelerate renewal, promote Finland’s well-being, and accelerate sustainable economic growth. Together with a wide range of actors, we ideate, explore, experiment, train and inspire everyone to build a better tomorrow. Sometimes Sitra’s results only become tangible years later, when an operating model developed and proven effective becomes established as part of everyday operations and is adopted by an increasing number of actors.
To support our work, we continuously evaluate our activities: are we doing the right things, at the right time, and in an effective way?
Sitra’s future-oriented work is guided by shared impact objectives. The overall framework for Sitra’s impact evaluation has been designed to analyse the achievement of these objectives. The purpose of impact evaluation is to produce high-quality, independent information on the effectiveness of our activities.
