Bringing people and organisations together

Each year, we organise both major events and smaller workshops. Most of our events can be followed online across Finland. For example, the launch of Sitra’s Megatrends report and the World Circular Economy Forum (WCEF) attract several thousand participants. Our experts also appear as invited speakers at events organised by others.

Training – strengthening the capacity to renew

One of Sitra’s tasks is to strengthen foresight capabilities in society, especially in decision-making. Every year, we organise training programmes that enhance decision-makers’ ability to tackle, together, the challenges and opportunities that are crucial to Finland’s future.

More than 100 Finnish decision-makers and influencers have deepened their understanding of Europe’s future challenges and changes in the operating environment. Sitra’s Leadership Training for the Future EU began in 2023.

More than 600 Finnish decision-makers and influencers have engaged in building a sustainable economy for the future through Sitra’s Leadership Training for Sustainable Economic Policy. The training strengthens foresight capabilities and encourages new forms of leadership. The programme has been organised since 2013.

In 2023–2024, we conducted a stakeholder survey on Sitra’s work and its development. We received a total of 855 responses.
