Jenna Lähdemäki-Pekkinen

Jenna Lähdemäki-Pekkinen, MSc (Social Sciences), is an expert in foresight and training at Sitra and a professional in societal impact and public engagement. Jenna is a sustainability expert, an experienced writer, and a project lead.

Jenna is one of the authors of the Megatrends 2026 report and currently works on the societal impacts of climate and nature scenarios. She has supported the broader use of foresight and futures thinking in Finnish society and internationally. For foresight and futures work to be impactful, they must be translated into action. This is a matter close to Jenna’s heart.

Jenna has developed foresight methods and training programmes and has helped organisations and decision-makers apply foresight in their work. She believes that it is possible to navigate successfully even in an uncertain operating environment, but that doing so requires investing in a shared situational understanding and in foresight capabilities.
