Betolar Oy

Betolar’s technology turns different waste streams from the energy, mining and forestry industries into environmentally friendly geopolymer concrete. This material is known to perform as well as or even better than conventional Portland cement-based concrete, having first been used centuries ago in ancient Roman and Egyptian buildings.

The cement industry alone creates up to 7% of the world’s greenhouse gas emissions. Replacing concrete with geopolymer concrete has the potential to cut CO2 emissions by up to 80%. This way we can accelerate the transition towards sustainable construction and a low-carbon society.

The World Circular Economy Forum 2019 in Helsinki, Finland on 3-5 June 2019 built the next era of the circular economy.
