Circular Economy in Local Governments

Local and national governments and circular economy practitioners and businesses co-operating with local governments in the transition to the circular economy

Published

The Nordic Council of Ministers has published a new Nordic Guideline for Circular Economy in Local Governments. This event presents the guideline and is targeted at local and national governments as well as circular economy practitioners and businesses co-operating with local governments in the transition to the circular economy.

The main objective of the event is to exchange experiences from local government as drivers for a circular economy. The event includes presentations from local governments and an introduction to the new Nordic guideline and its combined technical and organisational approach to the circular economy. Two breakout sessions will allow participants to discuss different aspects of the circular economy, including how to mainstream the circular economy in local governments.

The side event is free and open to all WCEF2019 guests. Participants registered for the event will receive a workshop report mid-June 2019 and a printed folder on Circular Economy in Local Governments at the end of the session.
