Scaling up process and product innovations to bridge the circularity gap – VTT Bioruukki Pilot Centre

The side event is free and open to all WCEF guests. As it focuses on semi-industrial process solutions and material prototypes, the side event is expected to be of interest to company representatives and technology and process developers active in or entering the areas of plastic and textile recycling, the productisation of secondary materials, packaging manufacturing, recycled fibre production and upgrading, the manufacture of disposable plastic commodities, the production of bio-based plastics and the production of biodegradable plastics/material.

VTT Bioruukki Pilot Centre is an open access innovation hub that offers a unique test bed and piloting environment to develop commercially viable but also visionary technological solutions that respond to the biggest challenges of the circular economy. This side event will be built on guided tours highlighting the facilities through selected case examples, an exhibition of renewable material and product prototypes and networking with experts focusing on the circular economy of plastics and textiles. 

The side event promotes UNTIL (United Nations Technology Innovation Labs). UNTIL foster partnerships and provide a global perspective for technology innovation eco-systems.
