Challenge
The circular economy business is growing, but, so far, we in Finland lack any comprehensive financing schemes that support circular economy business activities. Enterprises have found it particularly challenging to find funding and support for the demonstration and piloting phases of circular economy solutions.
Solution
Business Finland has launched a 300 million-euro Bio and Circular Finland programme, which began in 2018 and will run until 2022. The target of the programme is to generate internationally competitive circular economy solutions, create significant added value for Finnish products, accelerate the growth and internationalisation of companies and promote sharing of best practices with other countries.
Business Finland offers innovation funding, networking and internationalisation services in the bioeconomy and circular economy areas.
