How about measuring water?

Finns consume an average of 140 litres of water every day. However, water consumption varies between 100 and 300 litres. Monitoring reduces water consumption by 15-20% per person.

Savings: Monitoring water use and reacting to consumption can save you hundreds of euros each year. Simply cutting your eight-minute showers in half, for example, will save you 150 euros every year. Nowadays many new faucets also save energy and water automatically.

Remember this: Old homes may not necessarily have water meters. Water meters will soon be compulsory in new homes.

Reducing your carbon footprint: Installing a water meter and saving 20% on water consumption reduces your carbon footprint by nearly half a per cent per year. If a million Finns did this, it would save the equivalent of 4,000 carbon footprints.
