Achim Steiner is an expert at bringing together diverse partners on significant global environmental issues.

Prior to joining the Oxford Martin School Steiner served as United Nations Under-Secretary General and Executive Director of the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP). Steiner positioned UNEP as a central global player on climate change, technology innovation, ecosystems management and the role of the private sector in sustainable development. He was a major force behind the UN sustainable development goals.
