Alban Schmutz is CEO of Cloud Data Engine (CDE), a SAAS company enhancing the trustability of service offerings for customers, based on Gaia-X standards. CDE addresses the unique challenges faced by Providers, Conformity Assessment Bodies and Data Spaces member organisations.

Alban is a forward-looking entrepreneur and (co)founded several European organisations, including CISPE (the voice of Cloud Infrastructures Services Providers in Europe), Gaia-X (the largest Cloud project in Europe), the Climate Neutral Data Centre Pact or the 1st GDPR Code of Conduct approved by the European Data Protection Board.  Alban currently serves as an Independent Board Member of CISPE, Eurocloud France, Alacrite startup accelerator, Yncrea Engineering school, as well as advice number of organisations related to Cloud, Data and Cybersecurity.
