Alice Kaudia

Environment Secretary, Government of Kenya

Alice Kaudia promotes green growth at all levels of policy and action to tackle climate change and poverty in developing countries.

She is the first Environment Secretary for the government of Kenya. Previously, she was the Eastern Africa Regional Director for the International Union for Conservation of Nature, and has also been Technical Advisor on Forestry Curriculum Development and community-based natural resources management (Zambia), Assistant Director at the Kenya Forestry Research Institute, Associate Research Officer at the World Agroforestry Centre (ICRAF) and Programme Officer at the African Academy of Sciences. Alice holds various high-level international engagements in areas relevant to circular economy such as being a board member of World Resources Forum, Co-Chair of Global Green Growth Knowledge Platform as well as Climate and Clean Air Coalition.
