Annakaisa works as a Network Co-ordinator in the Lifelong learning project. She keeps several balls in the air when planning a wide range of events and looks for ways to improve the preconditions of lifelong learning in various networks.
Before Sitra, Annakaisa was working in student organisations as an Education Policy Adviser. Ten years in the field of education policy taught her a lot about legislative processes, the financing of education and effective advocacy, among other things. Annakaisa is convinced that all the good in the world is achieved through co-operation and friendliness.
She holds a Master of Arts degree in English philology. Despite majoring in humanities, more than half of the studies included in her Bachelor of Arts degree are natural sciences.
Chronically enthusiastic by everything new, Annakaisa is a seasoned participant in all kinds of beginners’ courses: the latest additions to her repertoire are artistic gymnastics and piano playing. The scenery closest to her heart can be found on her home fells in north-western Lapland – contact her for the best tips on the most beautiful cross-country skiing and hiking routes in Ylläs!
Annakaisa would not be surprised if, in the future, it was as common to monitor one’s own learning data generated in different digital learning environments as it is now to monitor the daily number of steps.
