Anu helps to accelerate the transition to a carbon-neutral circular economy as part of Sitra’s international development team.
What?
Anu has over 20 years of experience in marketing and communications in global companies such as Nokia and Unilever, and more than 10 years in sustainable business development. She has been designing programme content and event experiences for the World Circular Economy Forum since 2017.
Anu started at Sitra in 2016, working on efforts to create sustainable everyday lifestyles. She led research into sustainable consumption habits in Finland and 1.5-degree lifestyles in the international context. She created the hugely popular carbon footprint lifestyle test for Finland. The test has already been taken over 925,000 times and it has been integrated into the government’s Agenda 2030 service Commitment2050 and a number of commercial services.

Anu is a passionate life-long learner. She has topped up her university education with studies in Business Sustainability Management at the University of Cambridge, and in Artificial Intelligence at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology MIT. She embraces sustainable lifestyles, cycles to work and likes to spend her free time enjoying cultural and outdoor activities.
