Egil Hogna

Egil Hogna is Executive Vice President at Hydro (Norsk Hydro ASA) and Head of Extruded Solutions, Hydro’s largest business area offering solutions in aluminium to a wide range of industries, from automotive to consumer electronics and buildings. Before joining Hydro, he was President and CEO of Sapa Group. He has previously served in a variety of management positions at Yara and Hydro, including CFO and head of Investor Relations. 

Hogna has an MSc from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, NTNU, and an MBA from INSEAD, France. 

Hogna has stated that recycling and environmental technology are key for Hydro and he has advocated the need for widespread co-operation across the production and consumption value chains to enable a circular economy. One example of such a collaboration is the new range of transformable, aluminium-framed furniture developed for IKEA.
