Frederik van den Bosch

Frederik joined the Enabel EU CERC team in August 2025. At EU CERC, he focuses on the potential of private sector entrepreneurs and financiers, to better pursue circularity in their business. This is for a better world, also to stay aligned with evolving EU regulation and – most importantly – to respond to client demands. With the team, he will set up market mapping of financiers, organise awards for entrepreneurs, support match making and training, to promote the potential of private actors towards more circular business.

Frederik has spent many years blending finance products with development finance institutions, to enhance private sector activity in developing countries. He has initiated multiple investment funds for FMO (the Dutch entrepreneurial development bank) and EDFI (the Association of European Development Finance Institutions), to support positive social and environmental impact via renewable energy, micro- and SME financing, and smallholder agriculture. He also set up Impact Finance Belgium to ensure banks and other financiers in Belgium would better include impact in their operations.
