Gunilla Blomquist

Deputy Director, Swedish Ministry of the Environment and Energy

Gunilla Blomquist has extensive experience in environmental and sustainability issues.

The areas include energy, research, nature protection, environmental management systems/life cycle assessment, waste, sustainable consumption and production etc. within Sweden, EU and internationally. Today her main responsibilities are the implementation of the 10YFP programme on sustainable lifestyles and education, transformation to a green, circular and bio-based economy and the support to developing countries to transform to a green economy, which Sweden is co-leading. She is also member of multinational steering Committee for 10YFP programme on Sustainable Lifestyles and education and of Steering Committee for UNEP initiative on Partnership for Action on Green Economy.
