Kok Chung Cheang is the Deputy Director-General of the Environment Protection Division at Singapore’s National Environment Agency. The division oversees programmes to prevent environmental pollution and promote sustainability. Previously, he has worked in the field of water policy. As an economist, he is interested in developing environmental policies that are financially sustainable and incentive–compatible and that can be supported by the public. Prior to the Ministry of the Environment and Water Resources, Kok Chung worked at the Ministry of Trade and Industry, the Ministry of Defence, the Competition Commission and the Civil Service College.
