Leah Canning

Senior Policy Advisor , Environment and Climate Change Canada

Ms Leah Canning joined Environment and Climate Change Canada in April 2018 as Senior Policy Advisor in the Strategic Policy Directorate undertaking strategic policy development and policy planning related to the circular economy. In addition, she is leading the Department’s planning of the 2020 World Circular Economy Forum to be hosted in Canada. Prior to this role, she held multiple positions in the environment and health portfolios within the Government of Canada. Ms Canning has also worked in the private and charitable sectors. In her free time, she enjoys volunteering in her community and dragon boating. 

Ms Canning has a Bachelor of Science from McGill University and a Master of Theological Studies from the University of Toronto, Wycliffe College.
