I am a tech lawyer by background. While working in the Nordic technology sector, I saw first-hand how much time organisations spend interpreting complex regulation. Before joining Sitra, I followed the EU’s efforts to simplify regulation in Brussels as part of the Cabinet of European Commission Executive Vice-President Henna Virkkunen. I am now approaching the same challenge from a different perspective: how can AI and Legal Tech make regulation easier to use in practice?
As EU regulation grows in volume and complexity, organisations are finding it increasingly difficult to identify, interpret and apply the obligations relevant to them. EurLexGPT is shared digital infrastructure designed to enable more effective use of EU regulation trough the use of AI. As an open-source solution, it also provides organisations with a foundation for developing their own RegTech solutions.
