Ma Rong

Deputy Director General of Department of Resources Conservation and Environmental Protection, National Development and Reform Commission of People’s Republic of China

Ma Rong has long experience in circular economy management and has contributed to the development of circular economy in China.

She is currently Deputy Director General of Department of Resources Conservation and Environmental Protection at National Development and Reform Committee of the People’s Republic of China, which is the management department on macro economy in China. She is one of the key persons in drafting “Circular Economy Promotion Law of PRC” and supporting the legislation process at National People’s Congress. In addition, she oversaw the modification of “Regulation on Management of Recycling of Waste Electrical and Electronic Products”, and formulation of “Extended Producer Responsibility Implementation Plan” announced by the State Council in China.
