Eerola has educated himself as an Agricultural Technician and Licenciate in Art, and he is the 3rd chair of the Farmer´s Union. Eerola received the WWF Baltic Sea Farmer of the Year Award in 2015. He has been very innovative in developing the farm and has projects with several agricultural equipment companies. One of the projects is an agroecological symbiosis together with other farms, a local energy company and the University of Helsinki.
