Markus Taumberger

Line Manager and Head of the Advanced Data Spaces team, VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland Ltd.

Markus Taumberger is Line Manager and Head of the Advanced Data Spaces team at VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland Ltd., working to drive the success of the global data revolution. He is also Head of the Data Spaces Innovation Lab (DSIL) and Director of the Finnish IDSA Hub which supports the uptake of data space approaches by companies in Finland. As part of his work, Markus is managing a substantial research portfolio and he is currently coordinating the Horizon Europe project RESONANCE and the H2020 project iFLEX.

Earlier he has been the Coordinator of the H2020 project Flex4Grid and the FP7 STREP project POBICOS. Before his career at VTT, Markus has been working at SWECO PIC as a Senior Software Designer for embedded systems. He holds a Diplom-Ingenieur degree in Electrical Engineering from the Technical University of Munich.
