Mervi Porevuo is responsible for the Sustainable Economic Policy Training and the alumni activities of societal training. In addition to her principal areas of responsibility, Mervi is also a facilitator of events organised by Sitra.
Mervi has a Master’s degree in Social Sciences from the University of Helsinki, where she majored in international politics, and a Master’s degree in organisation studies from Warwick Business School. She also has a pedagogical qualification from Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences.
Mervi has earned her spurs at Helsinki Instituutti, the University of Helsinki Centre for Continuing Education and, since 2001, at Sitra, by being responsible for, among other things, Sitra’s Public-sector management programme.
Sustainable economy, leadership development and facilitation are Mervi’s core fields of expertise. Trust in the wisdom of the group, a personnel-oriented approach, participation, dialogue and listening together are tools that Mervi uses every day.
In her free time, Mervi relaxes with light exercise at the gym without any particular targets, in the sauna and with friends. Mervi often stops to take photos of surprising moments, and enjoys modern art, books, films and sci-fi series.
