Michael Saulny

I work at Sitra as a Senior Lead as part of the EU Circular Economy Resource Centre (EU CERC) team. My work focuses on developing recycling and circular economy solutions for critical raw materials and electrical and electronic waste together with our international partners.

Critical raw materials are essential for the EU’s green and digital transitions as well as for industrial competitiveness. The work carried out through the EU CERC is particularly meaningful, as the circular economy solutions being developed help reduce the EU’s import dependency, strengthen security of supply and lower the environmental impacts of raw material use.

I have more than ten years’ experience in engineering and development roles in the process and recycling industries, as well as experience as a project manager consulting industrial companies on innovation and funding applications.
