Salla works in Sitra’s Sustainable everyday life team, which disseminates proven doctrines and tools made in Finland to the world. In her work, she is responsible for building the Shift 1.5 community. Salla considers that formal and informal networks may be the key to solving the greatest challenges of our time. Salla is fascinated by the endless possibilities of conceptualisation, sensemaking and communication.
At Sitra, Sall has worked with Ratkaisu 100 Challenge Prize, Sitra Lab and the Globe League development program that challenged non-profit organisations and associations to develop solutions that will inspire and activate people towards
environmentally friendly actions in their daily life. Within this framework, both Salla’s traditional and online event expertise has deepened and the laws of community and network building have become clearer. Salla will reply to your questions and will be happy to help in Swedish, too.
She has a Master’s degree in Social Sciences.
Salla gets excited about new things easily and thoroughly enjoys crossing tasks off to-do lists. As a counterbalance to working at her multipurpose workstation, in her free time she goes hiking, plays basketball or engages in a sport that provides an adrenaline boost.
Salla believes that, with the technological development and robotisation, social scientists will be in (even greater) demand in future.
