President Niinistö has been actively promoting actions to mitigate climate change in Finland and internationally. As a strong protector of the Arctic, he has brought up means for cutting down black carbon. To stress the graveness of the situation, the President has stated: “If we lose the Arctic, we lose the whole world.”
