Seija is a senior advisor in Sitra’s Lifelong learning project. She specialises in law and the operation of the labour market.
Seija is familiar with the practices of the labour market, political and parliamentary processes and the operation of the Government. She has previously worked as a director of collective agreements at the Office for the Government as Employer in the Ministry of Finance, as an administrative director at the Ministry of Transport and Communications and in various positions in the Finnish road administration. After having worked almost 30 years in supervisory and executive positions, Seija enjoys project work and sharing its success with the interest groups.
Seija’s passions include following the events and developments in society and doing daily chores. She likes cooking, spending time at her summer house, reading and physical activity. Her adorable grandchild is also a source of joy for her. You may also see Seija in the opera or the theatre enjoying the performances. Open to future surprises, Seija is confident that learning new things is worthwhile and that we can overcome the challenges we face.
