Vere Shaba is the founder and director of Shaba Green Building Design & Engineering. Over her 12–year career, Ms Shaba has won multiple awards for her work in multinational engineering consulting firms, leading a range of projects in the commercial, retail, hotel, healthcare, education and residential sectors.
Ms Shaba holds a Mechanical Engineering degree from the University of Cape Town and is accredited to a number of Green Building Councils worldwide, namely in South Africa, Australia and the USA.
In 2013, Ms Shaba was selected as one of South Africa’s Top 100 Women in Business, featuring as one of the Top 10 Women in Engineering. In 2017 she was selected by the South African newspaper Mail & Guardian as one of the 200 Young South Africans. She is also one of Forbes Africa’s 30 under 30 in Business.
