The Finnish model of the information society

The Finnish model of the information society opens new and surprising perspectives to the new Finnish identity, the information society. It is an analysis of the factors that have made e.g. Nokia and Linux possible in Finland, as well as of how the most unique Finnish feature is the country’s serious attempt to combine technological and economic success with more just social terms. This is one of the main challenges in our time that is characterized by the tension between the global information society and its opponents.
