Markus Terho

Project Director, Resource-Wise Citizen, Finnish Innovation Fund Sitra

Markus Terho has decades of valuable experience in sustainable development, both in creating strategies and visions and in implementing them in practice.

He and his team at The Finnish Innovation Fund Sitra encourage everyone in Finland to make sustainable choices in their daily life and help companies that have developed sustainable consumer products and services to grow through experimentation. Prior to joining Sitra, Markus was the Head of Sustainability at Nokia and had the global responsibility for managing corporate responsibility activities in the company. In this role he drove the sustainability initiatives, integration of sustainability into Nokia strategy and targets across the company. He is actively involved with industry wide co-operation and works with a range of companies, NGOs, academia and national authorities around the world to expand sustainability co-operation, accountability and action.
