Project Director (Impact Investing),
Mika Pyykkö believes that it is important to be aware of the multidimensional potential of promotional and preventative work in terms of well-being and environmental issues.
He leads Sitra’s development operations of impact investing. Impact investing can be seen as a way of stepping up collaboration between the public and private as well as NGO sector in order to prevent or solve societal and environmental problems. Mika has previously worked in leadership positions in Finland’s Slot Machine Association and the Finnish Centre for Health Promotion. He is a champion of health and well-being promotion and preventative action. One of Mika’s most public achievements is the National Heart Symbol system (food labelling) – he headed its development and start-up when working for the Finnish Heart Association.
