The VALO – Value from Nordic Health Data project concludes in October 2026. Over the course of the project, VALO has demonstrated the feasibility of cross-border federated health data analysis and laid important groundwork for the future use of health data across borders.
As the project enters its final phase, a webinar series is bringing together stakeholders from across the Nordics and Baltics to explore how collaboration in the secondary use of health data can build on VALO’s achievements and continue beyond the project. In this webinar, we will hear from the Novo Nordisk Foundation (NNF) about opportunities for Nordic researchers and innovators to apply for funding that can support collaborative health data projects. With a long history of support for biomedical research including basic science, clinical translation, infrastructure, and innovation, relevant NNF activities span routine open calls, mission-driven initiatives, and strategic projects developed from discussions with researchers and stakeholders. After the NNF shares examples of recent tailored initiatives for supporting health data access and use, please join an open dialogue about needs for, challenges within, and opportunities to support Nordic health data collaboration that can build from VALO’s important work.
This webinar is the final session in a series highlighting developments and opportunities for cross-border health data collaboration across the Nordic and Baltic countries.
