The future of the European data economy will be the focus of the workshop series Smart policies for data. The European Commission data strategy has provided us the guidelines on how to build a human-centric and thriving data economy in Europe. We should find common understanding about the implementation of the strategy. If we manage to build smart policies around the strategy, Europe will have better chances to compete in the global data market.
In the first workshop Making human-centric data economy a reality we will focus on setting the scene and discuss the new governance framework for free flow of data.
The workshop series is co-organised by The Finnish Innovation Fund Sitra and the Ministry of Transport and Communications, Finland.
