During the spring of 2026, Sitra will collaborate with European experts to produce a report on the key bottlenecks in the EU’s digital single market and concrete proposals for measures to address them. The ultimate objective of this project is to provide the European Commission with a concrete set of priorities to enhance cross-border integration and drive measurable economic impact.
The upcoming report will draw on background material from an analysis prepared earlier this year by the law firm Bird & Bird, commissioned by Sitra, of the most significant reports and studies on digital single market developments published between 2023 and 2026.
As part of the report’s preparation, Sitra is organizing an invitation-only workshop for its partners in Finland on April 22, 2026. The aim is to discuss national priorities regarding bottlenecks in the digital single market and to identify concrete measures that support the growth and competitiveness of the Finnish business sector.
