Event description

Would you like to bring systems change approaches into your work but do not know where to start? Or maybe you have been playing with some different frameworks and tools but would like to dive a little deeper into the mindsets and practices that actually help you use these approaches in your everyday work?

Either way, this is your chance to jump into an applied learning HERÄÄMÖ with guest facilitator Sean Andrew (Forum for the Future and School of System Change) who will help us understand what it means and takes to diagnose systemic challenges. Sean will share some frameworks and cases and you will get a chance to think about what this means for your work.

The event will be held on Zoom. In addition, we will stream the event live on Sitra’s YouTube channel. On Zoom you will be able to discuss with other participants and meet new people. If you would rather focus on listening, or if you do not have the chance to participate in the discussions, please join us on YouTube instead.

The language of the event is English.

Who is Sean Andrew?

Sean Andrew is a system change coach at Forum for the Future and a navigator for the School of System Change. He designs, hosts and facilitates transformative conflict, action-inquiry and collaborative processes that help us work on complex challenges through emergent approaches. Sean’s experiences range from governance with community-based organizations and the public sector, working between spheres of government to develop learning networks and accompanying people in civil society and business to bring systemic mindsets and practices into the everydayness of how we come together to create.

What is HERÄÄMÖ?

Heräämö is Sitra Lab’s breakfast series in which we create shared understanding of how we might tackle wicked problems with leading experts in the field. The HERÄÄMÖ events are not only lectures but also contain interactive elements where you can network with other participants and share your own thoughts on the subject. The events are open to all who wish to broaden their horizons in relation to positive societal change and who want to network with others engaged with similar topics.
