We develop and offer training, peer learning and tools for leaders in the public sector to lead renewal.
Today, leading the AI transition is also a core responsibility for public sector leaders. The publication (in Finnish), authored by Professor of Practice Mika Ruokonen, was developed to support leaders in steering their organisations through a time of rapid change.
We support leaders’ learning and everyday work through a range of events and discussions.
The aim of the leadership discussions is to provide forward-looking thinking and solutions to questions related to leadership and the implementation of reforms. The events bring together senior public sector leaders around the table at Tamminiemi. The discussions in spring 2026 were led by Lauri Ratia, Senior Industry Advisor, an experienced leader in driving demanding transformations.
Bootcamp events are held twice a year and are designed to promote knowledge exchange and collaboration among public sector leaders. The events feature contributions from international experts as well as practical experiences from public sector organisations.
In many cases, simply introducing new technology does not lead to improved productivity. The model developed by Sitra shifts the focus from technology adoption to changes in operations and leadership. It helps ensure that investments in data and artificial intelligence deliver on their promises. Applying the model is also one of the criteria, for example, in Sitra’s funding calls supporting breakthrough reforms.
